Governor Umaru Bago Urges Recent APC Primary Winners to Focus on Nation-Building

Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, emphasized the importance of the recent APC primary election winners for the Senate and House of Representatives staying committed to nation-building.
He shared this during a courtesy visit to his official residence, Government House, Minna, where he welcomed the candidates.
Farmer Umaru Bago congratulated them on their victories and encouraged them to prioritize the progress and success of the ruling party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He also stressed the importance of unity and working together as one team, and not letting down the people who placed their trust in them for genuine representation.
Senator Muhammad Sani Musa, speaking on behalf of the successful National Assembly candidates, praised Governor Umaru Bago for ensuring a peaceful, smooth primary process, calling it a prime example of strong leadership.
He pledged ongoing support for the governor and reaffirmed his commitment to the growth and success of the APC at all levels.
In his remarks, the Minister of State for Agriculture, Sen. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, commended the Farmer Governor for his dedication to democratic principles, which distinguish him from his peers. He also called on federal lawmakers from the state to unite for overall development.
The minister admired the methods and procedures used in conducting the APC primaries in the state, describing them as a model for political conduct, and suggested that strengthening these practices could boost democracy in the state.
Among those received were Senator Abubakar Sani Bello, Mohammed Sani Idris, Abdullahi Mahmud, Adamu Tanko, Ismaila Modibo, Adamu Abubakar, Abdullahi Idris-Garba, Saidu Musa Abdullahi, Jafaru Mohammed, Adamu Usman, Mohammed Yakubu, and the APC Vice Chairman for North Central, Mu’azu Bawa Rijau.
