Niger Political Movement Endorses ADC Candidates for 2027 Election, Citing Bagos Administration as Lacking Transparency.

By Yahaya Zakka

A major political shift is unfolding in Niger State, as members of the Niger Rescue Movement Political Family, a faction within the All Progressives Congress (APC), publicly declare their support for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Hon. Mikhail Al-Amin Bmitosahi, the movement’s chairman, announced this during a press briefing at the IBB Pen House in Minna. He stated that the decision aims to benefit the long-term interests of Niger State, calling on supporters and residents to unite under ADC to build a better future.

Hon. Bmitosahi pointed out critical issues such as security, employment, education, healthcare, water access, and infrastructure, asserting that ADC provides the best platform to address these priorities.

He pledged to mobilize all branches of the Niger Rescue Movement across the 25 local government areas to secure victory for ADC, focusing on a campaign based on solutions rather than negativity.

The movement also commended ADC for its dedication to internal democracy, giving Nigerians, especially youth, a genuine voice in politics. Membership includes members from various political parties within the state.

In a related matter, Hon. Mamman Musa, a former commissioner, criticized Governor Mohammed Umar Bago’s administration for lack of transparency in publicizing government contracts.

Hon. Yusuf Suleiman, a former Water Resources commissioner, described Bago as a leader who ignores counsel, advocating a strategic alignment with ADC as the path to rescue Niger State.
