ADC Inaugurates Coordinating Team and Registration Committee in Niger State

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has inaugurated its leadership team responsible for coordinating party activities and introduced members of the registration committee to oversee the registration and revalidation of party members in Niger State.
The Party’s National Treasurer, Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed Mani, announced this in an interview after the inauguration in Minna. He noted that he is encouraged by the ongoing registration process, which he sees as a sign of acceptance and a move toward becoming the primary alternative to the ruling APC in the state.
Dr. Ibrahim Mani vowed to take control of the government in Niger State, citing issues such as incompetence, inconsistency, poverty, insecurity, hopelessness, hardship, lack of project coordination, and the insensitivity of the APC-led administration under Governor Mohammed Umar Bago.
He emphasized that voters are disappointed with the All Progressives Congress because it has failed to meet their expectations. The people are yearning for leadership change through their votes, and ADC aims to give them a voice, hold the government accountable, and bring about the desired change in the state and Nigeria.
The ADC leader expressed confidence that the party will seize power in Niger State in the 2027 elections, as the electorate is dissatisfied with the APC government. He called on residents to register with the ADC and assured them that their votes will count.
He also stated that they will not accept the new electoral Act passed by the National Assembly due to controversies surrounding its content. He added that the defections of governors to the ruling APC were driven by desperation, inducement, and intimidation, but noted that they are moving independently, as the people are not with them.
The leader of the ADC Coordinating Team in Niger State, Alhaji Umar Shuaibu, a founding member of the APC, expressed disappointment with the current ruling party nationwide. He described the situation as very unfortunate and assured that there will be massive mobilization for registration and revalidation of ADC members in the state.
He pledged to ensure peaceful and transparent party congresses at all levels, leveraging his extensive political experience in opposition. He also noted that with capable leadership and a broad-based party structure up to the unit level, the party can win elections easily across the state and country.
