NUJ Niger Council felicitates with Farmer Governor at 52
Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Niger State Council has felicitated with the state Governor Farmer Mohammed Umar Bago on his fifty second (52nd) birthday.
In a congratulatory message issued on behalf of the Union, the State Secretary of NUJ Comrade Usman Chiji said fifty two years on earth and almost three years in office , the Governor’s life reflected that of grace and Allah’s mercy.
The statement eulogized the Governor for his transformation drive through prioritizing key sectors aimed at achieving New Niger agenda.
The Union noted that, the exemplary life style and administrative acumen being exhibited by the Governor has earned him respect and acceptance leading to his election for three consecutive terms as member representing for Chanchaga federal Constituency and subsequently as Executive Governor in twenty twenty three (2023)
The statement explained that, as a strong advocate of good governance, Governor Bago initiated policies and programmes that have direct bearing on the people citing massive urban renewal efforts through ongoing construction of five hundred and fifty six kilometer of roads across the 25 local government areas.
The Union also acknowledged efforts of the Governor in providing philanthropy gestures noting that, uncountable number of citizens have benefited from him irrespective of tribe, religion and political affiliation.
While congratulating the Governor on the celebration of his birthday, NUJ assures of its continued support and cooperation and emphasized the need for the strengthening of the existing cordial relationship between journalists and government as partners in progress.
The Union then prayed Allah to grant the governor more years of sound health, courage and strength to deliver on his mandate of making Niger State greater.
