Residents of Abuja support Wike, criticize APC leaders
Residents of the Federal Capital Territory on Friday dismissed calls for Chief Nyesom Wike’s resignation as frivolous, immature, and unreasonable.
They accused the APC members and leaders of being out of line and labeled them as the strongest opponents of President Bola Tinubu.
The residents also commended Wike’s performance as outstanding.
“Nyesom Wike’s contributions to the development of the FCT, Rivers State, and Nigeria are invaluable.”
Representing the residents through the All Abuja Residents Forum (AARF), Alhaji Tanko Abubakar praised Wike for his role in national progress, effecting meaningful change in the FCT, and prioritizing service, integrity, and efficiency.
During a protest in Abuja, the AARF President condemned the APC officials and groups for confusing the public regarding the Rivers State issue.
He described the recent statements by the APC National Secretary as offensive and provocative.
The residents highlighted Wike’s dedication to public service, duty, and responsibility.
They encouraged him not to be discouraged by the negativity of some individuals.
“Since his appointment, Nyesom Wike has been committed to his responsibilities towards residents. He has diligently worked to transform the nation’s capital.
The residents particularly praised Wike for addressing difficult issues, inspiring President Tinubu with new ideas for the FCT, and managing challenges with competence and effectiveness.
“Chief Nyesom Wike is an honest and highly capable leader. His reputation is built on integrity over the years. He deserves the highest recognition for fostering development in the FCT and ensuring Nigeria’s stability,” they concluded.
