BREAKING: Rivers Assembly Files Impeachment Proceedings Against Governor Fubara

The political landscape in Rivers State shifted once more on Thursday as members of the State House of Assembly initiated impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and Deputy Governor Ngozi Oduh.
During a plenary session led by Speaker Martins Amaewhule, the Majority Leader, Major Jack, formally presented the notice of allegations, citing gross misconduct by the governor.
The notice, endorsed by 26 legislators, accused Governor Fubara of actions purported to violate the Nigerian Constitution.
Amaewhule stated that the notice would be formally served to the governor within seven days.
In the same session, Deputy Majority Leader Linda Stewart presented the allegations of misconduct against Deputy Governor Ngozi Oduh.
