Farmer Governor’s Initiative Empowers Youths as Young Entrepreneurs.

Eighty children graduated today from the Bago New Niger Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Hub, concluding the Kids Holiday Training Programme.
Over the past three weeks, participants engaged in hands-on training in baking, shoe making, and bag production, effectively transforming their holiday into a valuable learning experience focused on creativity and enterprise.
The ceremony was presided over by the Honourable Commissioner for the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, Mrs. Elizabeth Shaba, who represented the Farmer Governor. She assured parents that the initiative will continue during future school holidays, emphasizing the Niger State Government’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial skills among the youth.
Parents expressed their gratitude and enthusiasm for the Farmer Governor’s vision, noting the positive impact of the training on their children, who are now returning to school equipped as producers rather than mere consumers.
In addition to the graduation, the Coordinator of Entrepreneurship announced the ongoing Local Government Area (LGA) Training Tour and the forthcoming Niger State Entrepreneurship Week, which he highlighted as a pivotal part of the ministry’s transformation agenda.
With their newfound confidence and skills, the graduates leave the program not only with hands-on experience but also with tangible products crafted during their training, serving as evidence that Niger State is fostering a new generation of job creators.
