Niger State Government Collaborates with RATTAWU for Enhanced Nation Building.

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has affirmed his administration’s commitment to partnering with the Radio, Television, Theatre and Art Workers Union (RATTAWU) in efforts toward nation building.
During a courtesy visit from the executive council members of RATTAWU at the Government House in Minna, Governor Bago emphasized the importance of the Union in aiding public understanding of government policies.
He characterized the Niger State Government as labor-friendly, pledging to prioritize the welfare of citizens and acknowledge the contributions of the workforce.
The Governor expressed appreciation for the Union’s support in electing a Nigerlite as the National Vice President for North Central.
In his remarks, Governor Bago reiterated his administration’s resolve to transform the agricultural sector, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for food sovereignty through substantial investments in agriculture.
Comrade Kabir Garba, National President of RATTAWU, commended Governor Bago for his developmental initiatives and concern for workers’ welfare.
He indicated that the purpose of their visit was to acknowledge the Governor’s ongoing reforms and to explore potential partnerships in cultural promotion, capacity building, and professional development for media professionals in the state.
Additionally, Comrade Abdulkareem Lafene, Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Niger State Chapter, expressed gratitude to the Governor for his accessibility and commitment to ensuring that labor unions and workers are well-supported, acknowledging the positive impact of his policies on unions nationwide.
