GOLFERS COMPETE IN KOKO AS CANAAN LAND GOLF COURSE AND COUNTRY CLUB MARKS WARRI MONARCH’S 5TH CORONATION ANNIVERSARY
In recognition of five years of visionary leadership, unity, and transformation in Warri Kingdom, a series of events, activities, and celebrations are planned for August 2026 in Koko, Delta State.
“Celebrate five years of visionary leadership, unity, and transformation with our revered King while enjoying an exciting day of golf, fellowship, and fun” a statement by the Chairman of Canaan Land Golf Course and Country Club, Hon. Felix Aganbi said Sunday afternoon.
The 5th anniversary of the coronation of His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, will be commemorated with a Special Kitty Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
Tagged: “Five Glorious Years on the Throne”, the historic Kingly Golf tournament draws political and traditional leaders, businesses, golf enthusiasts, professional and amateur golfers from across Nigeria and overseas for a day of fun and friendly competition.
“The Tee-Off is 10:00 AM while the dress code is red on white. Registration is free but only the first 50 golfers will be registered” Aganbi said.
The statement emphasized significant prizes.
It also celebrated the monarch’s strategic insight, ability to bring people together and unwavering commitment to building a stronger, more prosperous kingdom,

His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, is the 21st Olu of Warri and the paramount ruler of the Iwere (Warri) Kingdom in Delta State, Nigeria.
He ascended the throne on August 21, 2021
The 2026 Bini Riva Festival will also feature fishing, art, game and feast.
