NUP National Headquarters lauds Governor Bago’s philanthropy gesture of N100 Million donation.

The Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP) has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, for donating N100 million to the union during its 12th quadrennial National Delegates Conference (NDC) in Kano State.
In a letter of appreciation signed by Abdullahi Usman Onuh, the union’s Deputy National President, on behalf of Comrade Godwin I. Abumisi, the National President, the union described the Governor’s gesture as “unprecedented in the history of the Union’s NDC and interactions with the general public.”
“We were overwhelmed by your distinguished presence at our NDC to personally receive your award, which had greatly shaped and lit up our NDC,” the letter read.
“As if your personal attendance at the occasion was not enough, you went the extra mile, in line with your remarkable generosity, donated a whooping sum of N100 million to the Union on the floor of the NDC.”
The union announced plans to pay a courtesy visit to Governor Bago at the Niger State Government House on May 20, 2025, to further express their appreciation.
The letter added, “Thank you for always being there for the needy, including the pensioners. ”
Comrade Abumisi expressed his gratitude and appreciation through his deputy, reaffirming the union’s highest regard and consideration for the Governor’s kindness.
