Governor Umaru Bago Inaugurates Two Special Committees

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, who is also a farmer, has inaugurated two special committees in the state.
These committees include a 21-member State Committee on Population and Housing Census and an 18-member Committee on the Boundary Dispute between Bida and Kontagora Emirates.
The inauguration took place at the Council Chamber of Government House in Minna.
Governor Bago expressed confidence in the selected members of the committees and urged them to justify the trust placed in them by demonstrating commitment and diligence in their work.
He assured the committees of his unwavering support to help them achieve their objectives.
Speaking to journalists, the Alternate Chairman of the Committee on Population and Housing Census, Mohammed Dattijo Usman, who also serves as the Federal Commissioner representing Niger State at the National Population Commission, praised the Governor for their appointments.
He highlighted the committee’s strong composition and emphasized their readiness to begin work immediately to deliver the best results for both the state and the nation.
Deputy Governor Comrade Yakubu Garba will chair the Population and Housing Census Committee, with Dr. Sylvester Christopher, Director-General of the Niger State Population and Census Directorate, serving as the Secretary.
Alh. Abubakar Usman, the Secretary to the State Government, heads the Committee on the Boundary Dispute between Bida and Kontagora Emirates, with Bar Abbas Bello serving as the Co-Chairman.
Hussaini Abdullahi, the Permanent Secretary of Lands, will act as the Secretary for this committee.
