Christian faithful are encouraged to believe that the key to accessing divine blessings lies in seeking God.
Pastor Samuel Olawale Adebayo of the Mountain of Life Church in Minna served as the guest preacher at the 2024 Adult Harvest Thanksgiving service organized by the Christ Apostolic Church Life Mountain Oke-Iye, held at the church premises in Maitumbi, Minna, Niger State.
During the Thanksgiving service, Pastor Adebayo emphasized that God is the Creator of heaven and earth and that all blessings come from Him. He explained that to receive blessings, one must connect with God through prayer and fasting, as well as by obeying His commandments.
He stressed the importance of fostering a personal relationship with God.
The resident pastor and Chairman of the Christian Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Niger State chapter, Ademola Samson, noted that the harvest serves as a reminder of those who have worked hard to produce the fruits of their labor.
He compared the relationship with God to the bond between a child and its parents, stating that a child receives blessings by staying close to their parents. Pastor Ademola urged Christians to use this season as a time for giving thanks to God and reflecting on the significance of sowing and harvesting as parables of spiritual growth.
The highlight of the event included special songs and dancing performed by choirs from various churches, as well as prayers for the state and the country at large.
