Niger State Cooperatives federation to key into Governor Bago’s Agricultural revolution.

Cooperatives federation in Niger state says the challenging economic situation in the state and the country in general, has made it imperative for cooperators to be more committed to achieving their set objectives.
The State president of the cooperatives federation, comrade Labaran Garba,stated this in his message to mark this year’s International cooperatives day,commomeration globally on the sixth of July each year.
He pointed out that the values and principles of self help,responsibility,equity and solidarity,is mostly required now than ever before.
The state president Labaran Garba, assured that the cooperative societies under the federation would continue to explore new paths to lift each other from the biting economic environment, eradicate poverty and ensure socio- economic growth of the society.
Comrade Labaran Garba appreciates the State government’s Agricultural and food security initiatives of the Farmer Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago,describing it as revolutionary and worthy of emulation.
He disclosed that the federation in the state would key in,and support initiatives of government which are in line with the cooperative federation’s set objectives of improving the socio- economic development of the state and her people.
Comrade Labaran,then urged cooperators in the state to see the current challenging economic climate in the state as an opportunity for them to be ingenious in finding solutions to the pressing needs of the society.
He opined that,this year’s theme for international cooperative day, “Cooperatives Build a Better Society for All”, captures what the members of the federation can do to society globally, through their various services, programmes and other set objectives.
