Niger State Concludes Airlift of 2023 Pilgrims back home.
The Niger State Pilgrims started their return journey in the middle of this month and to Almighty Allah is all the glory it has completed today.
The Executive Secretary of the Board Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu Kontagora explained this while on arrival at the Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja today. He expressed his gratitude to Allah for making this year’s Hajj a success all through despite some issues at the Muna and Arafat tents in Saudi Arabia which according to authorities were global challenges.
Sheikh Awwal implore the pilgrims to continue to abide by the spiritual teachings of Islam as preached by the Holy Prophet Muhammad. And urged them to keep praying for the Nation and our leaders as has been the practice while in the Holy Land.
With the arrival of two flights today, the return airlift of the State have been concluded and a total number of Three thousand, six hundred and ninety five Pilgrims from the State have been successfully returned home except one Haj Maimuna Alhassan from Mokwa Local Govt that lost her life last week in Makkah after a protracted illness. Sheikh Awwal further pray for the repose of the deceased and grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss, he also wish all the pilgrims an acceptable Hajj.
It could be recalled that the return journey of Niger State Pilgrims started on the eighteenth of this month.
