Gov. Idris urges couples not to allow third party into their matrimonial issues
The Kebbi State Governor Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu has advised newly married couples to avoid third party interfenece in their matrimonial issues.
He gave the advice at the wedding Fatiha of Alhaji Kabir Sani Gaint and Maryam Bello Mohammed as well as Dahiru Umar and Nusaiba Isa, a son to the Governor’s ADC all held in Sokoto State on Saturday.
The Kebbi State Governor stood in as the father to the bride (ACD) where N100,000 was paid as a dowry while the former Kebbi State Governor Alhaji Saidu Usman Dakingari stood for the Alhaji Kabiru Sani Giant where N100,000 was also paid as a dowry.
Speaking to the bride groom shortly after the wedding, the governor said: “As new couples, you shouldn’t allow a third party to interfere in your matrimonial issues. Try all available means within you to solve your problems.
“Marriage is all about patience, accommodating and understanding, try to understand yourselves, you need to exhibit the spirit of trust and respect for each other’s option.
“You need to accommodate and understand each other, you must also learn to forgive each other for making mistake because marriage is all about patience, trust and forgiveness. If you abide by these virtues it will definately aid you to build a sound and decent family.
“It is my prayer that Almighty God will give you the wisdom to live a decent and modest life in accordance with religious teaching,” he prayed.
The ceremony was attended by Sokoto state Governor Ahmed Aliyu former Kebbi State Governor, Alhaji Saidu Usman Dakingari, former Sokoto state Governor Aliyu Wammaku, Kebbi State Deputy Governor Senator Umar Tafida Arugungu, Kebbi State APC chairman Abubakar Kana Zuru, Alhaji Garlimallam, Kebbi State SSG, Yakubu Tafida, Head of Service (HOS), Alhaji Sufiyanu Bena, Rector Federal Polytechnic Birnin Kebbi.
Others are; member House of Representatives Hon. Bello Kaoje, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Finance, Alhaji Dutsemare, Abubakar chika (Garukuwa Gwandu) Alhaji Sanka Majidadin Kaura as well as friends and well wishers.
