The Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Niger State Council has congratulated Rt Hon Muhammad Umar Bago on his inauguration as the sixth democratically elected governor of Niger State.
In his congratulatory message issued by the Secretary on behalf of the State Chairman of NUJ Comrade Abu Nmodu notes that, the inauguration of Muhammad Umar Bago has brought another chapter in the journey for massive socio economic development of the state.
Comrade Abu Nmodu further posited that the energy of the new Governor is reassuring , the vision scintillating and the zeal painted in a clear colour of comittment to the extent that the people expect so much from his government.
He stated that with the combined qualities of Rt Hon Bago and His Deputy Comrade Yakubu Garba there is a renewed hope. For infrastructural development in the State. .
The Chairman therefore said , the Union is optimistic of brighter future for the citizens, if the new Governor operates an open door policy and engage the citizens of the state constructively
The State Chairman of NUJ recalled the excellent media engagement with the new Governor during the electioneering campaigns hoped that, the long standing relationship would be sustained in the years ahead for effective disseminaton of his policies and programmes.
He described the new Governor as media friendly politician, a renowned go getter and a link between aspiration and fulfilment following his trachectory of yeoman’s service since he ventured into politics .
He is optimistic that, with the needed support right team, Mindset and most importantly prayers, the new Governor will record the desire achievements for the wellbeing of the People.
Comrade Abu Nmodu assured the new Governor of the support and cooperation of members of the Union, but emphasized the need for more vibrant media engagement to ensure a robust relationship with the Union and communicate properly with the people.
