Prof. M.B Nuhu felicitates Comrade Yakubu Garba at 52
The Executive Director (Finance), North Central Development Commission (NCDC) and former Commissioner for Tertiary Education in Niger State, Prof. Muhammad Bashar Nuhu, has extended warm and heartfelt felicitations to the Deputy Governor of Niger State, Comrade Yakubu Garba, on the occasion of his 52nd birthday anniversary celebration.
In a birthday felicitation message through his Special Assistant (Special Duties), Alhaji Yahuza Isah Erena, Prof. Nuhu described the Deputy Governor as a man of proven integrity, honour, and dedication, whose life trajectory has been deeply rooted in service to humanity and the development of society.
He noted that Comrade Garba’s remarkable journey, from a disciplined and accomplished civil servant to a vibrant figure in the Labour movement, and now a dependable Deputy Governor, clearly reflects a legacy of hard work, patriotism, and selfless leadership.
Prof. Nuhu further observed that both he and the celebrant share not only a common vision for the progress of Niger State but also a common heritage as proud sons of Shiroro Local Government Area. According to him, this shared background has continued to inspire a strong commitment to grassroots development, unity, and the upliftment of their people.
He commended Comrade Garba’s humility, resilience, and people oriented approach to governance, stressing that his inclusive leadership style and accessibility have endeared him to citizens across different walks of life.
The NCDC Executive Director added that the Deputy Governor’s unwavering loyalty and strong working synergy with his principal, Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, have significantly contributed to the stability, growth, and advancement of the state under the present administration.
He also highlighted Comrade Garba’s consistency in promoting workers’ welfare, social justice, and community development, noting that his background in the Labour Congress continues to positively influence his leadership philosophy and policy direction in government.
Describing him as a shining example of purposeful leadership, Prof. Nuhu said the Deputy Governor remains a source of inspiration, particularly to young people who aspire to serve with integrity and make meaningful contributions to society, emphasizing that Comrade Garba’s life and career stand as a testament to the rewards of perseverance, discipline, and commitment to the common good.
While congratulating him on attaining the age of 52, Prof. Nuhu prayed for Allah’s continued guidance, protection, sound health, and wisdom for the celebrant.
