Golden Jubilee: Prof. Tachi felicitates Farmer Governor, lauds rapid development in Niger State
The former Commissioner for Tertiary Education in Niger State and Executive Director (Finance) of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Prof. Bashar Nuhu Tachi, has congratulated the Farmer Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umar Bago, the Deputy Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba, and the entire people of the state on the occasion of Niger State’s 50th anniversary.
Prof. Tachi in a felicitation message through his special assistant, Alhaji Yahuza Isah Erena, described the Golden Jubilee as a historic milestone that calls for gratitude, reflection, and renewed commitment to the collective advancement of the state.
He expressed profound appreciation to Allah for granting the people of Niger State the grace to witness five decades of statehood, noting that the anniversary symbolizes resilience, unity, and steady progress.
He prayed for sustained peace, harmony, and prosperity in the state, stressing that these values remain fundamental to achieving meaningful and inclusive development.
Prof. Tachi commended Governor Bago for what he described as bold leadership and giant strides in the transformation of Niger State, pointing to visible achievements across critical sectors of governance within a relatively short period.
According to him, since the creation of Niger State, no administration has delivered development with such speed, scale, and visibility as witnessed under the current leadership, describing the pace of progress as unprecedented.
He further prayed that Allah grants the Governor continued wisdom, focus, strength, and resilience to consolidate on the achievements recorded so far and to sustain the ongoing developmental drive.
The former Commissioner also called on citizens, stakeholders, and development partners to rally round the Farmer Governor, emphasizing that collective support is essential to the realization of the New Niger vision.
He reaffirmed his belief that with unity of purpose and sustained commitment, Niger State will continue on the path of growth and prosperity, positioning itself as a model of development in the North Central region and beyond.
