Niger Water Ministry Steps Up Efforts to Address Water Challenges

The Niger State Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation Services has embarked on a tour of key water infrastructure, including dams and waterworks, as part of efforts to address water challenges in the state.
The tour, led by Commissioner Engineer Farouk Umaru Audi, is in line with Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago’s vision for water revitalization.
The team, which includes Permanent Secretary Akilu Musa Kuta and other ministry staff, aims to assess damage and identify possible solutions to ensure all residents have access to potable drinking water.
The visit is part of ongoing efforts to improve water supply service delivery in the state.
Engineer Audi emphasized the ministry’s commitment to supporting Governor Bago’s vision for water revitalization.
He said the tour will inform interventions to strengthen water infrastructure and enhance access to clean water for Niger State residents.
The commissioner also said the ministry’s efforts is aim to address water challenges and improve the quality of life for Niger State residents and it working effortlessly to ensure sustainable access to clean water.
