Niger State Ministry of Water Resources Enhances Water Treatment Efforts

The Niger State Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation Services, led by Commissioner Engineer Farouk Umaru Audi, has taken a significant step toward improving access to clean water in the state.
The ministry has received 600 bags of aluminum sulfate as part of a larger shipment of 1,600 bags expected to arrive soon. This development is anticipated to strengthen the ministry’s water treatment efforts throughout the state.
The ministry is currently awaiting the remaining 1,000 bags of aluminum sulfate, which will further boost its capacity to deliver safe and clean water to the residents of Niger State.
According to the commissioner, these chemicals are essential for water treatment and purification processes. The receipt highlights the ministry’s dedication to enhancing access to clean water and sanitation services in the region.
In a related development, the ministry received 40 kegs of HTH-Chlorine on December 22nd, further increasing its ability to provide safe and clean water for the people of Niger State.
HTH-Chlorine is used for water disinfection and purification, and its arrival is expected to positively impact public health and overall living conditions in the state.
Meanwhile, the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation Services, Akilu Musa Kuta, emphasized that the Niger State government’s focus on water sustainability is a positive development, and the ministry’s efforts are expected to play a crucial role in the New Niger Agenda on water revitalization.
