Hon Hamidu Mohammed Tudun Minna Extends Congratulations to Farmer Governor Umar Bago on 27 Years of Democracy
Hon. Hamidu Mohammed Tudun Minna, the Executive Director of Operations at the Niger State Liquor Licensing Board, has issued a warm congratulatory message to Governor Mohammed Umar Bago and the people of Niger State, celebrating 27 years of uninterrupted democratic governance in Nigeria.
In his message, Hon. Hamidu described Democracy Day as a pivotal milestone in Nigeria’s political history, emphasizing that since 1999, the country’s journey reflects the resilience, courage, and collective will of Nigerians to sustain democratic rule despite numerous challenges.
He stated that although democracy is not without imperfections, it remains vastly preferable to military rule, as it upholds fundamental human rights, encourages accountability, and allows active citizen participation in governance.
Hon. Hamidu highlighted that, unlike military regimes, democracy fosters inclusiveness, dialogue, and national development.
He further observed that over the past 27 years, Nigeria has made significant progress in democratization, institutional growth, infrastructure development, and socio-economic advancement across various sectors.
He acknowledged the contributions of successive federal and state administrations in strengthening democratic values and laying the groundwork for sustainable development and improved service delivery.
The Executive Director also commended Nigerlites for their steadfast support, patience, and dedication to democratic ideals, urging continued peace, unity, and civic engagement.
Expressing optimism about Nigeria’s democratic future, Hon. Hamidu is confident that collective efforts will lead the nation toward greater strength, unity, and prosperity in the coming years.
