A STIFFER PENALTY AWAITS THUGS/CRIMINALS DISTURBING PUBLIC PEACE IN MINNA
The Executive Governor of Niger State Alh. Dr. Abubakar Sani Bello has directed Police and other security agencies that anyone found with a dangerous weapon in a public place,destroying public properties and attacking the Police or any law abiding citizen shall be dealt with decicievely if cought.
This is contained in Press statement signed by the Honourable Commissioner of Internal Security and Humanitarian Affair’s Emmanuel Umar and made available to Journalist’s in Minna.
The statement stated that following incesant attacks by the thug and hoodlums coming out with dangerous weapons necessitate the order, warning that any person or group of person found wanting the law shall take it cause.
He further directed the Police and other security agencies to protect themselves against any form of violence from these criminals, thugs, and hoodlums who have been constituting a nuisance in the metropolis.
He also warned parents/guardians to warn and prevail on their wards to desist from this act of thuggery as the State Government will not fold it’s arms and allow the breaking of law and order in the State.
