Niger State Govt. to invest $2 M in Poultry project in Bosso.

Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State announced plans for a monumental $2 million n poultry project in the Bosso local government area. This was revealed during a recent stakeholders’ engagement in Maikunkele, the headquarters of Bosso LGA, as part of his statewide project monitoring efforts.
Bago emphasized that the poultry initiative aligns with the Federal Government’s livestock development initiative, with Niger State serving as a pilot.
He highlighted ongoing road projects within Bosso and urged residents to support the administration, especially those impacted by road construction who should relocate as needed to expedite the process, assuring them that full compensation will be provided.
With Bosso’s population on the rise, the farmer Governor announced plans for a new General Hospital to alleviate congestion in Minna’s facilities. He committed to addressing electricity issues in Kodo as well.
Governor Bago commended Senator Mohammed Sani Musa representing Niger East for his contributions to the constituency, including plans for a mini stadium and skills acquisition center in Bosso, as well as a scholarship program for 20 local students to study in Singapore.
He also expressed gratitude to Baraje Yusuf Kure, the Member representing Bosso/Paikoro Federal Constituency, for his ongoing support of developmental efforts.
Deputy Governor Comrade Yakubu Garba called for continued support from Bosso residents, reinforcing the Bago administration’s commitment to fulfilling their aspirations.
Senator Musa praised Governor Bago for prioritizing agricultural policies that create jobs through projects like the Special Agro-industrial Processing Zone in Bosso.
In his address, Baraje Yusuf Kure pledged to support the state government with N1 billion, fertilizer, and farm inputs aimed at boosting agricultural productivity.
Local leaders, including State Assembly member Abubakar Suleiman Gomna and Bosso LGA Chairperson Ladidi Rakiya Bawa, lauded the farmer Governor for implementing people-centric projects.
They requested rehabilitation of Bosso dam for better water supply, additional roads, and the appointment of more Permanent Secretaries.
In a gesture of gratitude, the title of Dan Malikin Bosso was bestowed upon Governor Bago by Hakimin Bosso, Alh. Adamu Lakka, in recognition of his dedication to the local community.
