Igbo leaders in 17 LGAs of Plateau endorsed Governor Mutfwang as consensus candidate

The Igbo Residents in the 17 Local Government Areas of Plateau State have declared total backing for Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang for Governorship candidate, as the consensus candidate of the Igbo ahead of the 2027 general elections, arguing that he has performance credibly well .
The endorsement was announced on behalf of “the entire Igbo in the 17 LGAs ” by the President General of Plateau State Chapter Chief Hillary Onah .
He said, “We hereby, endorse Mr.Caleb Mutfwang as the consensus candidate for the entire Igbo nation for the 2027 gubernatorial election. This endorsement is rooted in competence, integrity, proven leadership, and the principle of equity ,he is the only Governor that promote peaceful coexistence and conducive business environment that accommodate us , ” ,he said.
The President General highlighted Mutfwang ’s tenure as a governor, stating that he visited them during the demise of late Igwe ,and this morning had a round table meeting with all critical stakeholders in business toward promoting unity and understanding amongst the diverse ethnic groups.
“The record speaks for itself. Plateau State is wearing a new look ,we now have business friendly govenment so he assures the governor of their unwavering support across the 17 LGAs , adding that Mutfwang’s model of “prudence, accountability, and fiscal discipline” is what Plateau people urgently requires.
According to him,Igbo people have been in the State since before Independence ,and we are applauding him for the compensation of some their properties , urging political parties and Nigerians across ethnic and religious lines to rally behind Mutfwang
Also speaking the immediate past President General, Chief Okunonke Mike ,JP, said that the Igbo people are peaceful people and are willing to work together to make Plateau State commercial hub of the Middle Belt .
He said that the second bid of Governor Caleb Mutfwang is around the corner and they’re going to support the ambition by mobilizing their eligible voters across the State .
According to him, on behalf of the Women wing ,Youth ,and leadership of the Igbo they’re not voting party but personalities were the person had done credibly well in adding values and reducing rate of unemployment .
He also charged the Igbo residents in Plateau State to vote personalities rather than political party as the period of electioneering campaign drew nearer ,we the Igbo promise 1.6 million votes best on our registered numbers in the 17 LGAs .
The Former President General emphasized that the endorsement was following the cordial relationship between the Igbo and the Governor Caleb Mutfwang in the State through genuine partnership.
We appreciate the Governor for the display of love demonstrated during the demise of Late Igwe and the wife of one of our son including the compensation of 1960 landed property .
He disclosed that, Igbo are Plateau Indigene that are not contesting for ownership of land here but under the present regime of Mutfwang, we have over 9 elected Igbo leaders at the LGAs and State respectively .
Adding ,Barr.J.O Ezekwueme lauded the Governor Caleb Mutfwang leadership for providing enabling environment for the Igbo residents to participate actively.
He urged the Igbo people vote for his second term and also considered to accommodate their young graduates through employment and empowerment Programme that promote genuine business.
The Special Adviser to Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang on Igbo affairs, Hon . harped on the need for the people to give him second chance as he continue with transformation agenda and promoting ease of doing business.
He stressed that under the present administration the Igbo enjoy cordial relationship with the government so he appealed to the Igbo residents in the State to vote him .
