Hon .Sylvanus Dongtoe reels out Governor Mutfwang meaningful developmental stride in three years

The Plateau State Commissioner for Housing Urban Development ,Hon Sylvanus Dongtoe has disclosed that the Governor Caleb Mutfwang administration is working toward reengineering and transforming the state to achieve meaningful growth.
Dongtoe made disclosure in an interview with our correspondent in Jos at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development on Thursday in Jos .
He enjoyed open door policy by encouraging media practitioners to ask meaningful questions rather than resorting to sensational reportage.
Sylvanus reiterated that ,journalists should embark on objectives reporting of Mutfwang projects and promote peaceful coexistence by discharging their functions without bias saying, “If you see something, say something. If you need answers, come to us,”
He condemned ,social media blackmail but charged media practitioners to always verify their facts before going to press and they should partner with the state in projecting balance reportage.
He admonished that we cannot continue see stories that are discrediting the Ministries and keep silent ,Please always balance your reports .
Dongtoe highlighted key interventions from Governor Mutfwang administration in the last three years.
He stated that the Governor acquired 90 hectares of land,and 50 units to address the demand of civil servants also revamping of 100-unit housing estate at Kugiya Housing Estate which project kickstart during the former Governor Jonah Jang.
He added that the New 50-unit project opposite 10 Commandments and 55 road projects across the state will soon be commission .
Sylvanus Dongtoe further explained that the ongoing road construction of Jenta Adamu, Utan, Tudun Wada, Kabong, Gyel, and the 17.4km Haske-Doctors Quarters road and that of Solomon Daushep Lar amusement Park road are almost completed .
The Commissioner harped on completion of 7 Metro bus shelters with solar lights and renovation of Jos Township Stadium with expansion capacity from 4,500 to 12,500.
Dongoe disclosed that the renovation of NYSC camp nearly completion of MOJ building including GSS Ampang West. remodeling of Plateau Hotel which will be ready for handing over in weeks.
The Commissioner noted that Ministry has engaged a consortium on the completion of traffic, transport and socio-economic surveys.
According to him, Land and survey has commenced advocacy visits to traditional rulers including the Gbong Gwom Jos, Afizere, Anaguta and Irigwe chiefdoms to ensure stakeholders contribute effectively .
“We place so much priority on quality and standard,” Dongtoe said. “These projects are meant for the people of Plateau State.”
Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs Keziah Ishaya Dung, appreciated the positive impact of media in promoting the affairs of government.
