ALGON President Hon. Jikantoro Condemns Armed Bandit Attacks on Innocent People of Erena and Environs.
On behalf of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), I, Hon. Alhaji Iliyasu Zakari Jikantoro, Chairman of Agwara Local Government and the National President of ALGON, extend our heartfelt sympathies to the Chairman of Shiroro Local Government, the residents of Shiroro, its neighboring communities, and the government of Niger State over the savage killings carried out by bandits in Erena and surrounding areas.
In a statement shared with journalists in Minna, Chairman Jikantoro condemned the recent brutal killings by armed bandits that resulted in the loss of innocent lives and significant property damage.
This heinous act deeply saddens us. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those affected.
We urge full cooperation with security agencies to bring these offenders to justice and to end such violence not only in Niger State but throughout Nigeria.
Once again, on behalf of all ALGON members nationwide, we mourn with the good people of Shiroro Local Government during this tragic time.
May Allah (SWT) grant the deceased Aljannah Firdaus, comfort the bereaved, heal the wounded, and restore peace to the impacted communities.
May peace and stability return to our land.
