Governor Zulum Offers Condolences to Family of Deceased Army Officer in Minna
The Executive Governor of Borno State, Babagana Umara Zulum, made a formal condolence visit to the family of the late Lieutenant Colonel Abdullahi Saidu Paiko, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty on October 17, 2025.
Governor Zulum arrived in Minna through Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport, where he was welcomed by the Honorable Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Obed Nuhu Nana, along with the Commissioners for Water Resources, Faruk Audi, and Humanitarian Affairs, Ibrahim Ahmed Inga.
At the deceased’s residence, Governor Zulum was received by the widow and other family members. He expressed his deepest sympathies, recognizing the late Lieutenant Colonel as a brave and dedicated officer who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country.
Respectful prayers were offered for his soul’s repose and for strength and comfort for the family during this difficult time. To show support, Governor Zulum also provided a financial donation to assist the family.
This visit highlights the importance of honoring fallen heroes and continuously supporting their families, reaffirming a collective commitment to national security and service.
