Farmer Governor Umaru Bago Visits Service Chiefs in Abuja
Niger State governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, paid a courtesy visit to Nigeria’s service chiefs at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja.
The purpose of the visit was to congratulate them on their appointments and to strengthen existing partnerships between the military and the Niger State government, especially in security.
The farmer governor appreciated the renewed energy the service chiefs have brought to the country’s security efforts in the ongoing fight against terrorism, banditry, and other security challenges affecting parts of the country, including Niger State.
He urged them to stay focused and determined, while assuring them of his administration’s steadfast support and prayers for their success in keeping Nigeria peaceful and secure.
The service chiefs present at the meeting were the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Olufemi Oluyede; the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Waidi Shaibu; the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke; and the Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Idi Abbas.
