APC Extends Membership Registration,Announces Revised Schedule for Congresses
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended its ongoing e-registration process for members until February 8, 2026. Additionally, the party has excluded Rivers, Osun, Ekiti states, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) from its upcoming congresses.
This information was disclosed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Felix Morka, on Friday in Abuja, following the 183rd meeting of the APC National Working Committee (NWC).
Morka stated that the extension aims to facilitate greater member registration and support the party in reaching its membership goal of over 12 million. He further announced that the APC National Convention has been rescheduled from March 17 to March 27-28. Ward congresses will now be held on February 18.
The exclusions of Osun, Ekiti, and FCT from the congresses are due to upcoming elections, while Rivers State is exempted because off-cycle congresses took place there last year, and the tenure of the elected executives remains valid.
Morka urged party members to utilize the extension period to complete their registration. Details of the revised schedule and the convention coordination committee will be communicated on Monday.
