Two prominent youth-based organizations in Niger State have officially encouraged Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Alhaji Mohammed Ndarani, to consider running for the Niger South (Zone A) senatorial seat in the upcoming 2027 general elections. Based on his record of philanthropy, grassroots involvement, and leadership, the groups expressed strong backing for his candidacy.
At a short ceremony in Abuja on Monday, members of the Niger South Coalition of Youth Groups, represented by Coordinator Hon. Abdullahi Muhammad Gangwa, announced that their decision was made after extensive consultations across the zone’s eight local government areas.
They identified Ndarani as their preferred candidate, citing his popularity, community participation, and ongoing service to humanity as key reasons to support his bid.
The coalition noted that Ndarani’s experience, skills, and international exposure would greatly benefit legislative discussions. They pledged to support his candidacy publicly and to purchase the necessary nomination forms, emphasizing that their initiative aims to promote transparency and accountability in governance.
Similarly, the Ndarani Advocacy Movement (NAM) also endorsed his candidacy, describing him as the most qualified person to represent Niger South.
In a letter signed by Chairman Hon. Theophilus A. Mamman, the group highlighted Ndarani’s academic achievements, professional success as a SAN, and personal attributes such as humility, empathy, philanthropy, and strong communication skills.
NAM stressed that Ndarani’s qualities position him as a unifying figure able to facilitate meaningful development and elevate Niger South’s profile nationally. They stated that the zone’s interests require his vision, passion, and expertise in the Senate.
Responding to the endorsement, Ndarani expressed gratitude and said he would consider their support after careful consultation. He stated, “I am honored by your visit and your call for me to run for the Senate in 2027.
This is a call to serve humanity. I will conduct extensive consultations with my family, friends, and stakeholders before making a decision.”
He also urged the groups to continue advocating for qualified leadership to promote peace and development in Niger State and Nigeria as a whole.
In a goodwill message, Engr. Mohammed Dagachi Etsugaie, President of the Community Association for Grassroots Transformation (CAGRAT), praised Ndarani’s integrity and past achievements.
He described the endorsement as a positive sign of trust and belief in Ndarani’s ability to provide effective representation.
The event was also marked by supportive comments from other speakers, who praised Ndarani’s virtues and endorsed his potential candidacy.
