Niger State Government Announces Strategic Executive Retreat for Key Appointees
The Niger State Government has declared an eight-day Executive Retreat for Commissioners-Designate, Chairmen-Elect, their Deputies, Special Advisers, and Permanent Secretaries.
A statement from Alhaji Abubakar Usman, Secretary to the Government of Niger State, announced that the retreat will begin on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, at Hauwa Isah Wali Multi-Purpose Hall, Government House, Minna, starting promptly at 10:00 A.M
This high-level event underscores the administration’s dedication to advancing governance reforms, enhancing institutional capacity, and aligning incoming officials with the government’s policy goals, development blueprint, and reform agenda.
His Excellency, Governor Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, will serve as the Special Guest of Honour, while His Royal Highness, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, CFR, Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, will be the Royal Father of the Day.
Participants will be exposed to best practices in governance, public service ethics, and leadership. The government has emphasized that attendance is mandatory for all designated officials, as the retreat signifies their official onboarding and preparation for future responsibilities.
