ADC Champions Democratic Renewal in Niger State as Leaders Gather for Unveiling Event.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has launched an invigorated initiative aimed at fortifying democratic governance in Nigeria, prioritizing people-centered leadership and inclusive political participation.
The unveiling event took place at the ADC secretariat in Maitumbi, Minna, Niger State, attracting prominent figures from ther state.
Among the notable attendees were Dr. Peter Edeh, former North Central Party Chairman, who delivered a compelling keynote lecture focused on political struggle and leadership.
Senator Tunde Ogbeha, Deputy National Chairman representing the North Central Zone, served as the father of the day during the gathering.
Engineer Umar Usman, Chairman of ADC Bosso Local Government Area and head of the party’s coalition across Niger State’s 25 local government areas, lauded the efforts of Alhaji Musa Hassan in revitalizing the party’s presence in the state.
He expressed optimism about overcoming previous challenges, stating, “Our doors are open to anyone ready to join us in rescuing Niger State and Nigeria from the current political and socio-economic crisis.”
Umar highlighted the party’s commitment to engaging in substantive political action to ensure effective leadership and representation. “This gathering reflects the will of the people—those weary of neglect who are dedicated to this cause,” he asserted. One attendee even traveled an arduous eight to nine hours from Bargu, Agwara and Magama, indicating a deep commitment to the ADC’s vision for the future.
Alhaji Musa Hassan, ADC State Chairman and Coalition Leader, reaffirmed party unity in Niger State, insisting, “There is only one ADC in this state, and I am its chairman.” He called on citizens to return to their constituencies and register with the party, which stands united under the leadership of Senator David Mark.
He urged Nigerians to secure their voter cards from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), emphasizing the ADC’s readiness to assume governance at all levels. “We believe in fair leadership and are ready to tackle Nigeria’s issues of insecurity, unemployment, poverty, and despair,” he declared.
Musa also revealed a growing trend of defections from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the ADC, expressing hopes for further alignment with other political parties. “Due to the overwhelming response, we cannot yet provide exact figures, but our doors remain open—we seek unity to save our country,” he added.
Hajiya Hassana Shuaibu Dada National Assistant Youth Leader for the North Central Zone called upon the Nigerian youth to reject political manipulation and corruption, urging unity to protect the nation’s dignity. “This is our time,” she stated. “Many of us are graduates but remain unemployed, being denied opportunities to serve. The peace and future of Nigeria rest in your hands.”
Dr. Peter Edeh, during his keynote address, emphasized that the essence of good leadership lies in the will of the people. “A brighter future relies on our collective determination. Every patriot must eliminate fear and reject greed to build a better Nigeria,” he articulated.
This event marks a pivotal moment in the ADC’s efforts to galvanize support and cultivate a coalition for transformative leadership as the nation approaches the 2027 elections.
