President Tinubu Reinstates NTA Director-General and Executive Director of News Amid Management Changes.
President Bola Tinubu has ordered the recall of Mr. Salihu Abdullahi Dembos as the Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). Dembos, who had briefly stepped down due to recent management alterations, will now resume his position to complete a three-year tenure originally set to begin with his appointment in October 2023.
Additionally, the President has reinstated Mr. Ayo Adewuyi as the Executive Director of News, allowing him to fulfill his three-year term that is slated to conclude in 2027.
Adewuyi was appointed to his position in 2024 by the current administration.
Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, confirmed the new directive in a statement released on Tuesday.
This decision effectively reverses previously announced appointments for key positions within the NTA, including that of the Director-General, Executive Director of News, Executive Director of Marketing, and Managing Director of NTA Enterprises.
