Hon. Alh. Nma Mohammed Kolo Donates N2 Million to Aid Mokwa Flood Victims During Condolence Visit.
A distinguished delegation from the Office of the Special Adviser on Political and Strategy, led by Hon. Alh. Nma Mohammed Kolo, recently visited the victims of the devastating floods in Mokwa.
During this condolence visit, Committee Chairman Joseph Saidu Barde announced a generous donation of 2 million Naira, which will be channeled through the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
This financial assistance is intended to complement the ongoing efforts of the Niger State Government under the leadership of H.E. Farmer Governor Mohammed Umar Bago, addressing the urgent needs of those affected by this natural disaster.
Alhaji Abubakar Usman Gawu, the SSG, affirmed the commitment to ensuring that the funds are utilized effectively for the benefit of the victims. He also highlighted the importance of advocacy efforts aimed at encouraging local communities to avoid living in close proximity to coastlines in order to prevent future tragedies.
In a solemn moment, prayers were offered for the souls of those who lost their lives in the floods, as well as for the swift recovery of the injured.
