Governor Umaru Bago Extends Condolences to Mrs. Rita Luka on the Passing of Her Father
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has expressed his heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Rita Luka, the former Secretary of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) in Niger State, on the death of her father, Mr. Anthony Durumi.
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, Governor Bago acknowledged the profound grief and emptiness that accompanies the loss of a parent.
He reflected on the late Mr. Durumi’s dedication, hard work, and significant contributions to the development of Niger State, particularly in the education sector, which earned him special recognition from the then Military Governor in 1986.
The Governor emphasized that Mr. Durumi led a life that serves as an example to others and encouraged the bereaved family to take comfort in the positive legacies left behind.
He offered prayers for the repose of Mr. Durumi’s soul and for the family to find strength during this difficult time.
Mr. Anthony Durumi is survived by his wife, Mrs. Christiana Larai Anthony, five children—including Mrs. Rita Luka—and ten grandchildren.
