Governor Bago Advocates for Women’s Leadership in Local Governance.
In a strong affirmation of his commitment to gender inclusivity, His Excellency, Mohammed Umaru Bago, the Governor of Niger State, announced that all vice-chairmanship positions in the upcoming local government elections will be allocated to women.
This initiative underscores his administration’s dedication to promoting women’s roles in governance.
Governor Bago emphasized the critical contributions of women to societal development, pointing out that they have often been marginalized despite their capabilities. “Women are essential to the nation’s growth,” he stated, reiterating that when empowered, they can instigate significant progress and transformation.
