Niger Speaker Honors Governor Bago on His 51st Birthday
The Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abdulmalik Mohammad Sarkin-Daji, extended heartfelt congratulations to the state Governor, Umaru Mohammed Bago, on the occasion of his 51st birthday.
The Speaker lauded Governor Bago as a visionary and pragmatic leader whose commitment to a New Niger has revitalized the state and its people.
In a statement released by the Acting Head of the Department of Media and Public Relations, Mairo Adamu Mani, the Speaker acknowledged the Governor’s impressive leadership over the past two years, particularly in fostering significant infrastructural development throughout the state.
He remarked, “Your approach to governance leaves no doubt that Niger State is on the path to greatness. Leadership requires vision, dedication, transparency, equity, and justice, all of which you have exemplified during your tenure.”
Speaker Sarkin-Daji also highlighted the robust relationship maintained between the Governor and the 10th Assembly, emphasizing that the Governor’s respect for the separation of powers distinguishes him as a leader of remarkable quality and integrity.
He assured the Governor of the Assembly’s full support in realizing the administration’s developmental agenda for the state.
He stated, “We believe that meaningful development is contingent upon a smooth and harmonious relationship between the Executive and Legislative branches, which is why we commend you for fulfilling your constitutional responsibilities to the 10th Assembly.”
The Speaker, on behalf of the leadership and members of the 10th Assembly, joined other well-meaning Nigerlites and Nigerians in extending warm felicitations on this milestone birthday.
He concluded with prayers for the Governor’s long life, good health, and divine guidance as he continues to lead the state toward greater achievements.
