Pension Fund Administrators to begins Refund for 7.5 to exempt beneficiaries.

The Pension fund Administrators in Niger state have received approval for the commencement of refund of 7.5 contributory Pension scheme (CPS)from the national pension commission.
The Director General of the Niger state pension board, Mallam Nasiru Saidu Namaska, disclosed while declaring open the payment of gratuity to batch nine beneficiaries at the Pension board premises in Minna, the state capital.
He stated that this week, the Pension funds administrators will be giving a letter of no objection to start refunding the 7.5 to respective individuals exempted from the scheme.
Namaska said immediately after the process is completed, PF Adiministrators will commence refunding to beneficiaries. Hopefully, before the end of December.
He then commends His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Niger State, Farmer Umar Mohamed Bago, for the timely provision of funds for the payment of retirement benefits.
He assured that the Pension Board has changed for the better .” myself and the entire management staff and other staff are working day and night to ensure that retirement benefits are being paid as when due,”
He stressed that the shortfall in the number of batch nine beneficiaries is due to the fact that retired permanent secretaries who have retired for years are being captured, and some will be captured in the tenth batch; he urged retirees to exercise patience as every person shall be paid his retirement benefits as at when due.
He then appealed to pensioners in the state not to hesitate to go for AM ALIVE verification when it is time for the exercise.
He further disclosed that the AM ALIVE verification exercise will begin in January 2025, and every pensioner must go to any bank of his choice to register.
