In a heartfelt message, Barrister Isyaku Barau,Chairman NBA Minna Branch expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for preserving the elder statesman in good health and sound mind to celebrate another year of life.
He highlighted General Abdulsalami Abubakar’s patriotism, and unwavering commitment to national service, especially his role in guiding Nigeria’s peaceful transition from military rule to democracy in 1999.
Barrister Isyaku credited the strong foundation Abdulsalami built during this transition with Nigeria’s steady democratic growth over the past 27 years.
He also praised Abdulsalami’s ongoing efforts to promote peace and unity through the National Peace Committee, emphasizing its importance in fostering trust among Nigeria’s diverse ethnic, religious, and political groups.
The Chairman NBA ,Minna Branch described Abdulsalami as a distinguished military officer who served honorably, a respected agriculturist, and a philanthropist dedicated to improving lives across tribes and faiths.
