Etsu Nupe Honours ACP Gboyako with Prestigious Traditional Title of Sokyara Raba Nupe

The Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Abubakar, CFR, has conferred the traditional title of Sokyara Raba Nupe on ACP Adamu Shaba Gboyako, the Personal Chief Security Officer to the Governor of Imo State.
The conferment was conveyed in a letter dated July 26, 2026, signed by the Etsu Nupe on behalf of the Bida Emirate Council.
According to the letter, the honour was unanimously approved by the Emirate Council in recognition of ACP Gboyako’s outstanding contributions to the growth and development of the Bida Emirate in particular and the Nupe race in general.
The royal father stated that Gboyako’s unwavering commitment and selfless service to the progress of the Nupe people made him deserving of the prestigious traditional title.
“This recognition is because of your outstanding contribution to the progress and development of the Emirate in particular and the Nupe race in general.
“This outstanding contribution cannot be overemphasised and, therefore, it has become pertinent to accord you a recognition such as this by the Emirate Council.
“It is against this backdrop that the Emirate Council unanimously approved the conferment of the traditional title of Sokyara Raba Nupe on you,” the letter stated.
The Etsu Nupe congratulated the recipient on the honour and prayed for a successful and impactful reign.
“I congratulate you on behalf of the Emirate Council for this great recognition. I wish you a long reign as Sokyara Raba Nupe in good health, peace, a fulfilled life and greater success in your chosen endeavours,” the royal father said.
ACP Gboyako currently serves as the Personal Chief Security Officer to the Governor of Imo State and is widely acknowledged for his dedication to public service and his enduring commitment to the welfare and advancement of the Nupe people.
