New management of NCRI Baddegi meets minister to fine tune smooth takeoff.

To ensure proper takeoff of the National cereal research institute Baddegi in Niger state the new management have meet with the Minister of state Agriculture and food Security,Senator Aliyu Abdullahi Sabi to fine tune the prospects of the institute.
The Executive Director of the institute,Dr Mohamed Ndagi Ishaq along with the secretary of the Agricultural Research council of Nigeria,(ARCN) Professor Garba Hamidu Sharbutu call for a symbiotic relationship amongst the staff of the institute.
The statement from the office of the New Executive Director NCRI Baddegi quoted the Minister saying there is need for stake holders to strengthen partnerships and drive innovative research,so as to enable food security agenda of President Tinubu succeed, adding that all hands must be on deck and can not accommodate any group or persons that can not go at our pace.
According to the Minister this is a strategic meeting to Mark the beginning of a new era for a delibrate collaboration and knowledge sharing between NCRI Badeggi, and other research institutes,in collaboration with the Ministry, and ARCN,”to collaborate in achieving the desired objective of president Bola Tinubu’s economic agenda on food security” Aliyu Sabi re-enphasised.
According to him the success can be achieved by enhancing the institute’s mandate on crop production and productivity, Improving food security and sustainability,others includes the Leveraging research and technology for agricultural development as well as Strengthening institutional partnerships and capacity building..
The Executive Director,Dr Mohamed Ndagi who acknowledged the remarks by the Minister, asked all the staff of the NCRI Badeggi to ensure all hands are on Deck to make significant contributions to Nigeria’s agricultural sector, innovation, and prosperity.
Our Correspondent reports that NCRI which has its headquarters at Baddegi few kilometre away from Bida has 11 NCRI research centres across the six geo- political zones of the country to conduct research that will suits each zone for optimal production.
