The Chairman, New Niger Development Project (NNDP), Alhaji Mustapha Abubakar-Bida, has called on Nigerians to pray for leaders at all levels and times to deliver good governance.

He also called on the Muslim Ummah and Christians to keep praying for all the elected and appointed leaders to succeed in providing the much needed dividends of democracy to the citizenry.
Abubakar-Bida, who is also the Sarkin Dawaki Nupe, felicitated with the Muslim Ummah as they celebrated Eid-el Kabir, urging them to emulate Prophet Ibrahim’s virtues of sacrifice, obedience and submissiveness to the will of Allah in order to be successful in life.
The NNDP chairman said that what the leaders needed from Nigerians was their prayers to enable them provide good governance.
“Nigerians should continue to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Gov. Umar Bago as well as other elected and appointed political office holders in the interest of development and growth of the country,” he urged.
Sarkin Dawaki Nupe also enjoined Nigerians to embrace religious tolerance which, he said, would promote peace across the country and enhance national development.
Besides, the traditional title holder called on Nigerians to live in peace with one another to foster peace and national unity, just as he stressed the need for Nigerians to ensure peaceful co-existence in the country, to ensure economic growth and development.
According to him, no society or country can achieve any meaningful development or greatness in an atmosphere of chaos and mistrust.
He further appealed to the adherents of the two major religions in the country to intensify prayers for improved economy and return of permanent peace and unity of the country.
According to him, prayers remain the most effective weapon against any form of challenges, stressing that security challenges such as insurgency, banditry and kidnapping, will be overcome through sustained prayers by faithful.
The NNDP chairman however commended the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, for ensuring peaceful coexistence in kin Nupe, even as he prayed for a peaceful and hitch-free Hawan Barki on Thursday in Bida.
