Niger state Governor has earmarked N25 billion for the settlement of Pension arrears and gratuity.

Niger state Farmer Governor Mohammed Umar Bago has earmarked the sun of N25 billion for the settlement of pension arreas and gratuity of retirees in the state and local governments.
The Governor gave the approval at the official Commissioning of operational vehicles and 200 CNG Buses at the Trade Fair Complex in Minna, said he had also directed that all Civil Servants that are due for promotion in the state be promoted with immediate effect
Governor Bago stated that the CNG buses will convey students, security operatives and medical workers for free while Civil Servants will have discounted transport fare to ammeliorate their hardship.
He said in the next six month the number of CNG buses will increase to one thousand while plans are on to bring additional one hundred electric vehicles to the state, he added.
