Gov Bago expresses Sadness over the Death of Former Perm Sec, Nuhu Musa.
Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has expressed sadness over the death of a former Permanent Secretary, Local Government Service Commission, Alh. Nuhu Musa.
In a condolence message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the Farmer Governor described the death of Alh. Musa is a loss to humanity in general.
He recalled how committed and dedicated the deceased was while in active service and even the wise counsel he was offering even after his active service.
The Farmer Governor said no doubt the death of the former Permanent Secretary has left a vacuum that can only be filled by Allah adding that the deceased was able to write his name in gold while living.
He prayed to Allah to repose the soul of the late Nuhu Musa and make Aljannah Firdausi his final abode.
The Farmer Governor also condoled the family members of the deceased and prayed to Allah to comfort as well as strengthen them in this moment of grief.
Late Alh. Nuhu Musa who was born on the 24th of July, 1955 hails from Galadima Kogo in the Shiroro Local Government area of Niger State.
He started his education at the Central Primary School Minna from 1962 to 1967 where he proceeded to Secondary School from 1968 to 1974.
Late Alh. Musa also attended the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria from 1974 to 1979 and went further to the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON) Badagry in 1979.
Shortly after his education, the deceased served the Niger State Government in different capacities and at different times starting from an Admin Officer with the Niger State Civil Service Commission; Administrative Secretary of ESCON; Director of Personnel, Finance and Supply; Director of Personnel and Planning; Coordinating Director, Government House Minna; Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education.
He was also appointed as the Secretary of Rafi Local Government from 1985 to 1986; and Chairman Shororo Local Government from 1994 to 1996.
The deceased received many awards for meritorious service such as Best Chairman of the Year 1995 and 1996 by the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) and Amalgamated Union of Nigerian Youths respectively.
He will be buried in accordance with Islamic injunctions by 11 o’clock this morning.
