Security Operatives in Niger State tasked to be more Pro – active – George Dike.
The Special Adviser to the Niger state governor on Inter-tribal matters, Mr. George Dike, has urged the security personnels to be more pro-active in other to end the devilish activities of bandits in the state.
Mr. Dike said this in a wake up of another nefarious act of banditry attacks on an Inter-tribal community members in Sabon Daga and Zuzungi village in Kataeregi on 2nd and 5th November 2023.
Recall that on the 2nd of November, 2023, at about 12:15am, some unknown gunmen came into the town of sabon gada in large numbers, shutting sporadically, they boggled one Mr. Vincent Ozoburu’s house, charted away his two sons, Chukwu Emeka (23) and Onyedika(6) and some valuable items.
Although Mr. Vincent was able to escape with his wife and his baby, his two children were held by their captives for 12 days before they were released. While in zuzungi village, on 5th November 2023, one business man was kidnapped but have also been released.
The special adviser to the governor on inter tribal matters, while sympathizing with the victims and their families, reaffirms governor Muhammad Umar Bago’s commitment in securing the lives and properties of everyone in the state.
He therefore urged the inter tribal communities in the state to be very vigilant with the happings in there environment and report any suspicious act to the appropriate authority. Adding that the government under the leadership of His excellence Muhammad Umar Bago will continue to do everything in it power to bring an end to the insecurity bedeviling the state.
