Niger State Government to boost food production. – Dr Yakubu Muhammad Bello.

The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr Yakubu Muhammad Bello made this known at the stakeholders meeting with Agricare STD Plus Limited, on the Role of Micro organism in Agriculture at the ministry’s conference Hall , Minna
Dr Yakubu Bello stressed that the state government is ready to compete with the global age in food production and to put the state in the safe hand adding that the ministry would introduce farming calendar for farmers to enable them succeed in food production.
The Permanent Secretary said the state government would harness the potentials for sustainable future in food production hence everything has to go Green through engagement of stakeholders particularly commodity association and farmers through their extension agents to enable them embibe the renewed agenda of the state government.
The Agricare business Extension officer from Abuja,Mr Akintobi Tola Tomi said their products are developed with the intent of safety as the abuse of inorganic fertilizer is causing a lot of damage to both human and crops
He explained that there is an innovative solution that is purely organic that doesn’t have any element that can cause damage to the health.
He stressed that the whole world is fazing out the use of chemical fertilizer and others,urging farmers to embark on the products as they are affordable and will yield more .
In his remarks, Director Vetenary Public Health, Doctor Adamu Ibrahim appreciated Agricare as the company was formerly known as animal feeds producer and now into crops and purely organic,he advised the company to keep it up.
