Niger state Koro Youth Association inaugurates Executives
Federal and Niger state Government have been charged to protect it’s citizens through by using it’s effective security Apparatus
The former Commissioner of Information and strategy,Dr. Emmanuel Musa Umar made this call in a paper he presented at the innauguration ceremony of the newly Executive members of National Koro Youth Association Niger state chapter held at Maitumbi primary school in Minna.
He said that Governments at all levels should be proactive and pay serious attention to protection of lives and property of it’s citizens through a holistic approach.
Dr.Musa Emmanuel Umar noted that Armed Banditry in the state has claimed many lives in the state with particular reference to Karin Koro community a situation he described as unfortunate,hence the need for serious government intervention in the area of provision of adequate security in community and the state at large.
The Title of the Paper presented by Emmanuel umaru, insecurity and the Traumatic,Socio- Economic and Educational Implications of Armed Banditry In koro Youth. Development and Inspiration in Niger State,is apt considering the negative implications of Banditry.
Dr. Emmanuel Umar appreciated the state Government under the leadership of Governor Mohammed Umar Bago for it’s efforts in tackling the menace by bringing together the Fulanis in the scheme and affairs of the Government.
The Former Commissioner of Information and strategy then appealed to the youths to use their numerical strength to champion the course of development rather than engaging in act capable of tarnishing their good image.
Dr. Emmanuel Umar also used the forum to challenged parents to Assist in the moral up bringing as well as to take full responsibility of their children for them to be good future leaders.
Also speaking,a lecturer in the Department of Chemistry with IBBU Lapai, Dr.Yakubu Azeh stressed the need for koro speaking people to bring their qualified Children for admission into the Institution in order to improve the Educational standard of koro Youths in the state.
In his acceptance speech,the chairman of the National Koro Youth Association Niger state Branch,Comrade Audu Yohanna said his administration will pursue with vigour and encourage youth to imbibe the spirit of furthering their education for the much needed goal to be achieved.
He said the Association is out to foster unity of purpose amongst koro Youths and the rest of the world.
Comrade Yohanna Audu also stated that the Association under his watch will encourage the koro Youths to engage in entrepreneur endeavors for them to stand on their feet.
Comrade Yohanna Audu said the Association will equally give back to the elderly in carrying out a free medical care to uplift their Health Condition
In his remarks at the occasion,the District Head of Ijah Koro,Alhaji Jibrin Suleiman urged the new Executives to continue with the good work of the past leaders for the development of the Association.
The former state Branch chairman of the Association,Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq in his welcome address had earlier called for unity of purpose amongst the members for the Association to continue to stand the test of time.
The chief Host at the occasion,Mallam Mohammed Wanbai urged members of Koro Youth Association nationwide to shun act that could jeopadise the peace and corporate existence amongst them.
Highlights of the occasion was the presentation of certificate of return to the newly Elected Executive members of the state Branch of the Association.
