Gov. Umaru Bago condole People of Tafa LGA over the Death of Solomon Nyaze.
Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has expressed his heartfelt, condolence to the people of the Tafa local government area over the demise of a political stalwart, Solomon Nyaze.
Governor Umaru Bago in a condolence message by his Chief Press Secretary Bologi Ibrahim, noted the commitment and contributions of the deceased to the growth and development of Tafa local government in particular and the State in general.
He said the death of Nyaze has no doubt created a vacuum in Tafa local government and indeed Niger State that could only be filled by God.
While commiserating with the family of the deceased, the people of Garam community and Tafa local government area, the Governor urged them to accept the death of Nyaze as the will of God and be comforted by the fact that he lived a life of selfless service to humanity.
The Governor also prayed to God to repose the soul of the deceased.
Born on 11th December 1953 at Garam in Tafa LGA of Niger State, Late Solomon Nyaze was a dedicated and one of the founding fathers of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Niger State Chapter, and served under the immediate past administration as the Senior Special Adviser to former Governor Abubakar Sani Bello on political matters.
He was also a one-time Council Chairman of Tafa Local Government; Acting State Chairman of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).
The deceased started his basic Education in Garam in 1960 and went further to obtain many certificates in education and communication fields among others from different higher institutions and did his one-year mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) between 1978 and 1979 in Anambra State.
He served the State in different capacities such as the Information Officer, Suleja local government area, the Broadcasting Corporation of Niger State (Radio Niger), The Reporter Newspaper, Kaduna, News Editor, Niger Printing and Publishing Company, Head, Public Affairs and Relations of Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON).
Late Nyaze was also the Secretary-General of, the Niger State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Senior Special Assistant, Niger State Deputy Governor’s Office from 1999 to 2004, and was a Permanent Commissioner II, Niger State Independent Electoral Commission (NSIEC), among others.
He will be buried on Wednesday the 11th of Novenmeber, 2023 at the his home country in Garam.
