Niger Min.of Works and Infrastructures to improve on workers welfare -Says Commissioner.

The Commissioner, Niger state ministry of works and Infrastructural Development, Hon sulemain Umar has assured all staff of the ministry an improvement in their welfare and work environment to enhance effective service delivery.
The commissioner gave the assurance while addressing the staff of the ministry at the conference hall of the ministry.
He said having a conducive work environment is a necessity for uptimum performance to encourage the staff to deliver the mandate expected of them.
Hon sulemain Umar urged the staff to embrace teamwork as it will enable them to get the work done faster and better. “When you all work together, you will be able to achieve the mandate of the ministry seamlessly.”
The commissioner also sought the support and cooperation of the staff to enable him to attain the success of the ministry as he can not do it alone.
According to him, “the ministry is one of key ministry in the state that the Governor has high expectations from, hence the need to follow the institution’s laid down rules and regulations for all of us to succeed “.
The commissioner then added that he would run an open door policy to enable all staff to make their contributions as critical stakeholders.
According to the commissioner, “it’s a new dawn at the ministry, and the urban renewal programme of Mr Governor is targeted at changing the narratives of state in terms of infrastructure like it has never witnessed since the creation of the state in 1976.
He promised to have regular meetings with staff so as to know their challenges and areas that require support.
He then warned the staff that his leadership would not tolerate ineptitude and unprofessional conducts.
In his remarks, the permanent secretary of the ministry QS Hassan Baba-Etsu expressed delight in having Hon sulemain Umar as the commissioner of the ministry.
He described the commissioner as a man of integrity, dedication and commitment. He said as an achiever, and a go-getter, everyone needs to key in to be taken along.
QS Hassan Baba Estu gave the assurance that the staff under him will give all tge necessary support and cooperation to the Hon Commissioner towards taking the ministry to a greater height.
The permanent secretary charged the staff to be open minded in term of positivity, work as a team adding that under the commissioner’s watch the ministry will move fast noting that the staff will be propelled to work.
He urged the staff to be apt and responsible to ensure they achieve collectively meet the expectations from the state government.
