NIGER STATE GOVERNMENT HAND OVER SITES FOR TOWNSHIP ROAD CONSTRUCTION IN MINNA
Niger state government has handed over sites for rehabilitation and construction of Minna township roads to CCEC construction company.
The Commissioner of Works and Infrastructural Development Alhaji Suleiman Umar who performed the official handing over after the over site inspection said, the occasion symbolized the urban renewal policy of the present administration in the state .
Alhaji Suleiman Umar stressed that the occasion mark part of the governor’s campaign promises to transform the entire
infrastructure of the state.
The commissioner
pointed out that the awarded projects is in two phases and vowed that the ministry will ensure the contractors deliver a quality job base on the terms of the contracts.
Also speaking the Permanent Secretary QS Hassan Baba Estu disclosed that the target period of the projects is not less than 24 months adding that both phase one and two will be executed simoutanously.
He stated that the projects are aimed towards the expansion of the existing roads such as the dual carrige road of Chanchaga to airport junction as well as the western and eastern bypass would be expanded to six lanes .
Furthermore, he said,in some sections of the road provision for the construction of flyover and under passes were captured
The Permanent Secretary disclosed that His Excellency, Hon. Mohamed Umar Bago will perform a groundbreaking ceremony for the commencement of the projects soon
According to him, the project is unique in the history of Niger state and Nigerlites should see it as an update of the infrastructural status of the state.
In an interview with the representative of CCECC Mr Bobly assured on the delivery of good quality job for the delight of both the government and Nigerlites as the company is known for its timely and quality delivery for one a decade in the state.
The project specification is to take off from Tungan Goro junction to link to Brighter school area with pedestral bridge, 500 meters of flyover from city gate to state house of assembly, flyover at Tunga round about and dual carriage of David Mark road to Maitumbi as well as the dualization of UK Bello road to Sabon Gari and the construction of the longest flyover which will start from Mobil roundabout to Stadium junction.
Others are two point six kilometres double lane from Kpakungu burial ground round about to link to Gidan Mangoro and flyover at Kpakungu round about, under ground road from Morris junction to Gidan Mangoro and flyover flyover at Imani round about and daul carriage to link raw material market
respectively.
